When visitors come to our log home, they always mention how great the exterior logs look. We credit Paul Pettey of Medford Painting for maintaining the wonderful finish of our logs. Five years ago, we needed the first follow-up on our exterior log finish. Our research on finish products led us to Timber Pro Natural Wood Finishes as the best product to meet our needs. After contacting several painting contractors about completing the job, none had experience with the product or working on log homes. When we discovered Medford Painting, Paul was the only painting contractor in Southern Oregon that knew how to work with Timber Pro and had experience finishing and restoring log home exteriors. Paul and his helper applied bio wash to kill mildew, powerwashed, removed furring, spot primed bare wood, masked, applied one color stain coat, applied one clear coat, completed touchups and clean-up. Both coats were sprayed on and brushed in. The work was done professionally with technical expertise.
We take pride in the outstanding look of our log home and want to maintain that as the years continue. Our plan is to have finish updates done every five years. The best compliment you can give a contractor is to say "yes" when asked would you use them again. And yes, Paul and Medford Painting will be doing this years follow-up exterior log finishing. I've known Paul Pettey for quite some time now and always knew he painted
houses. When my son was in College he went to work for Paul on his summers off. When I would go to the job site, I would go in and see what they were doing and I was in awe.
